Experienced in the telecom industry for over 16 years, Khaled will lead the Bangladesh Country Management team and be the primary spokesperson for Nokia Siemens Networks, the company said. |

REUTERS, LONDON - Oil slid towards $100 a barrel on Tuesday, after early reports showed Hurricane Gustav had spared major US Gulf oil facilities. US crude fell to $107.17 a barrel by 5:07 am EDT, down $8.29 from Friday's close. It touched a session low of $105.46, its lowest since April 2. |

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Russia striker Roman Pavlyuchenko from Spartak Moscow on a five-year deal, reports BBC. The club told the Stock Exchange they had signed the 26-year-old for £14m. Pavlyuchenko netted twice against England in a Euro 2008 qualifying match in October 2007 and was Russia's top scorer at Euro 2008, with three goals. |

AP, FRANKFURT, Germany -- Commerzbank's purchase of German rival Dresdner Bank AG will cost thousands of jobs, but analysts said Monday it will benefit insurer Allianz SE, which agreed to sell Dresdner over the weekend in a 9.8 billion euros ($14.44 billion) deal. Shareholders appeared to agree, sending the Munich-based insurer's shares slightly higher in Frankfurt trading on Monday to 114.42 euros ($168.60), or up 0.28 percent. |

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Tahmasb Mazaheri, told state-run radio that monetary experts are studying three options: Cutting three zeros off the rial, cutting four zeros, or boosting each rial's value to one-hundredth of a gram of gold, or about 2,500 rials at current rates. |
