Four people were killed and 30 others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Abdullahpur under Ashulia thana Monday afternoon.

The police said the Dhaka-bound bus of from Tangail fell into the ditch breaking the railings of Tongabari Bridge at about 1:00pm, killing four people.

The identity of the deceased including two men, a woman and a child could not be known immediately.

On information, the police with the help of local people rescued 30 injured passengers from the ditch and sent them to different local hospitals. Six of the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
