A student leader of Patiya is allegedly being threatened by opposition political men for his identity of a different party, according to sources.

Md. Kashem, son of Abdus Sabur of Kolagaon village under Patiya Sub-division is a talented student leader of Awami League in the area who participated on many occasions in different social activities including development of roads, organizing health and eye camps in the area and distribution of relief materials during disasters.

For his increasing popularity in the area, the 4-party activists reportedly concocted false cases against him during their time in a bid to tarnish his image.

Moreover, the opposition party men are also trying to grab portion of his paternal property, his family alleged.

Under adverse circumstances, Kashem is now compelled to stay away from his home.

Lately, they threatened his parents with death in case they fail to produce Kashem.
