Chittagong City Corporation has taken a move to shift people living at the feet of hills in the district, says a press release.

The campaign continuing for two days was intended to remove residents from the risky Motizarna area near Lalkhan Bazar where the possibility of casualty due to heavy downpour is high.

Chief revenue officer of CCC Mohiuddin Ahmed Khan led the activity on day one while secretary of the corporation Md. Shamsudduha conducted the drive yesterday.

Also present on the occasion were ward commissioner Monwara Begum Moni, Executive Engineer Abu Saleh, Kamrul Islam, Estate officer Ahmedul Hoq and other concerned officials.

Besides CMP members and locals also helped the move.
