Shake-ups in admin continue

The government has made changes in the posts of eight deputy secretary- level officials and a senior assistant secretary, reports

The establishment ministry issued the transfer orders Saturday.
Of the deputy secretary level officials: former deputy commissioner of Mymensingh, Shamsul Alam, has been made director of Bangladesh Television (BTV); general manager of Jiban Bima Corporation, Ali Akbar, has been transferred as director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC); former deputy commissioner of Dhaka, Kamal Uddin, has been appointed director of Jiban Bima Corporation; former deputy secretary of Faridpur, Yahiya Bhuiyan, has been made director of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust; and deputy secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD), Bimal Chandra Das, has been appointed legal adviser to the health directorate on deputation.
BTV director Abdus Salam has been made deputy secretary of the ERD, and BFDC director Farhad Hossain has been made deputy secretary to the agriculture ministry.
Besides, officer on special duty (OSD) at the establishment ministry, and former director of the Anticorruption Commission, deputy secretary Nasrin Ara Surat Amin has been given a posting as deputy secretary in the agriculture ministry.
Senior assistant secretary and former UNO Farah Shammi has been posted as the deputy director of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
