Inter-university photography exhibition kicks off

A weeklong international inter-university photography exhibition begins at the National Art Gallery at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Sunday.

Cultural affairs adviser Rasheda K Choudhury will inaugurate the event, organised by the North South University Photography Club.

Forty-seven universities—30 local and 17 foreign universities—from 13 countries are set to participate in the exhibition that will showcase 502 works. is one of the media partners of the event.

The exhibition is an event designed to showcase the best photographic works of both professional and emerging artists from around the globe.

A panel of photographers of Bangladesh will select 35 best photographs for awards to be given in eight categories.

The entries were categorised into colour and black & white, with eight subcategories of landscape, portrait, lifestyle, architecture, action, still life and nature.

The exhibition will remain open from 11.00am to 7.00pm on August 03-09.

sir/madam I am Raju Biswas doing mass com from jamia milia islamia mass communication research centre, India. I am also very keen in photography and had training in photography. I have been doing photography in India,would you please let me know how and on what basis one can take participation in above grand event.What is the criterion of sending photography to the competition..thanking you..looking forward for a response.
