The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on May 29 (Thursday) across the country under tight measures against unfair means, report agencies.

A total of 620,020 students under seven general education boards, madrasha board and the technical education board will sit for the exams this year in a total of 1,800 centers in the country and five

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, Education Adviser Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman Tuesday urged all the candidates to sit for their examinations without fear or intimidation in a complete copy-free atmosphere.

He hoped that the examinations would be completed with the concerted effort of all in a fair and peaceful atmosphere and the results would be published after two months of the completion of the exams.
