Juba Leaguer's Autopsy Report with Police
Saturday, 21 August 2010

Police has received the autopsy report relating to the death of Juba League leader Ibrahim Ahmed.

Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station sub inspector Azimuddin told bdnews24.com that the report, which was collected from Dhaka Medical College on Thursday, was sent to metropolitan detective branch police on Friday.

Metropolitan DB Police additional deputy-commissioner Mohammed Maniruzzaman told bdnews24.com on Friday that they had not read the report yet.

"However, as Ibrahim Ahmed was shot, the death will be shown as unnatural in the report and we are probing accordingly,'' he added.

Maniruzzaman said six were questioned in the case and they gave police some other names. "They will also be questioned," he said.

The DB official also said that Bhola-3 MP Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon will be questioned as well.

Ibrahim Ahmed died on Aug 13 when he was shot with a licensed pistol of Shaon inside Shaon's vehicle.

The vehicle's driver Kamal Hossain filed an unnatural death case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station that night, without informing Ibrahim's family.

Later, Ibrahim's brother Masum filed a case with the court charging eight, including Shaon, for his brother's murder.
