Tejgaon Fire Still BlazingThe blaze at Focus Garment near Nabisco biscuit factory in Tejgaon that started on monday at about 1pm was still not yet under control two hours later.

No deaths or burn injuries has been reported in the incident.

The fire broke out around 1pm on Monday at Focus Garment located near Nabisco biscuit factory, the control room of the fire service and civil defense directorate stated.

Fire service and civil defence director general Abu Nayeem Mohammed told bdnews24.com, "14 teams of four units have reached the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control."

The services' director (operations) Sheikh Mohammed Shahjalal told bdnews24.com, "The fire broke out at the top floor of the five-storey factory at 25/B Tejgaon Industrial Area adjoining Rahim Metal Mosque. At 2.45pm, the fire could not still not be controlled. Attempts are ongoing."

The factory is owned by BNP leader retired Maj Kamrul Islam. He told bdnews24.com, "The fire seems to be an accident and unintentional."

The factory's knitting operator Farid Mia said that all workers have left the building immediately after the fire caught.
