The Bangladesh cricket team returned home Thursday night after a highly successful tour of the West Indies and Zimbabwe.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Ahad Ali Sarkar received the team at Zia International Airport. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Lt. Gen Sina Ibn Jamali and board directors were also present, said a BCB press release.

Bangladesh achieved their first overseas Test series victory defeating West Indies 2-0 and then swept the three-match ODI series 3-0.

In Zimbabwe, the Tigers won the five-match Grameen Cup ODI series 4-1. This was the third ODI series victory in a row for the Bangladesh side.

All members of the team and officials will pay a courtesy call on Prime minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Jamuna on Saturday at 11:00 am.
