Negotiations On Again
Wednesday, 25 February 2009

Dhaka, Feb 25 (bdnews24.com)—Four members Bangladesh Rifles came out from the BDR Headquarters, following a day-long mutiny, to sit in talks with the home minister at a nearby hotel from around 9.45pm Wednesday.

State minister for local government Jahangir Kabir Nanak, two local MPs Mirza Azam and Fazle Noor Tapash were also present at the meeting in the Ambala Inn a few metres from the main gates of the Rifles complex in Dhanmondi.

Nearly 12 hours into an armed rebellion to seek better pay and break army control, the Bangladesh Rifles said Wednesday night they would not surrender arms until the army was fully withdrawn from around the Peelkhana headquarters and 46 BDR units countrywide.

Heavy gunfire again rocked the compound at around 9:25pm.

The mutinous BDR men had earlier agreed to surrender their arms after a two-hour meeting with the prime minister at her official residence, government spokesman Nanak told reporters.

But border guards inside the compound began demanding through loudspeakers that the army withdraw otherwise, as they feared the military could "finish them at any time".

Strange:
What is happening today in Dhaka is some more then 1971 when the bangla desi asked for there independence and pakistan army resist against them.

I remember I was in chittagong in those day and I was 15 years old boy, I have seen the whole revaluation and war, I use to call my bengali but today I feel shame. I have magrated to Paksitan because my magred in 1974.

I love this country may be beause I born in chittagong. I frequently travel to bangla desh almost every year I go with my children and show them all the place where is my birth my school and my frend and various place i know. I prefer to visit bangladesh rather then visiting any courntry in the world.

What happened in bangladesh? Reason I found the same story repeated what I use to put blame to the pakistan army when this country is seperated in 1971. The poor imotional peoples have been traped and many killed. Today the nation is independed and want to do the same thing rater doing the same thing with the bangla desh nation.

I think after 35 years of banglades independency and whole nation is on the same boat on faces are changed from Pakistani ruler to local bangladeshi rulers.

The interlectuals, The politicans must think time has changed they have to give the rights to the nations failing which such situation will keep on preveling in bangla desh and there will be always revaluation will live in process.

I was planed to visit bangladesh in March with my family on one month recreation but I have to drop my visit this year and many like me will postbond there visit.
