Now Mines Recovered in Sherpur |

After the recovery of over 13,000 bullets last week, law enforcers have recovered seven live mines from the same Bankakura cluster village in frontier Sherpur district.
BDR members recovered the mines along with 97 rounds of bullet from a forest at Bankakura under Jhenaigati Upazila around 11am on Saturday. However, there was no arrest in this connection.
Nakshi camp commander Nayek Subedar Mohammad Mafizul Islam said they also seized compact discs (CDs), 19 SIM cards of different mobile operators and Indian rupees.
On Dec 18, police recovered 13,680 rounds of sub-machine gun (SMG) ammunition from an abandoned house of the village. The bullets did not have any manufacturing country's name engraved on them.
Jhenaigati police filed a case in this connection.
