Hasina Made NAM Vice-Chair For 3 Years PDF Print E-mail

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina was unanimously elected vice chairman of the 188-member Non-Aligned Movement's Asia Zone at the 15th NAM summit in Sharm-El-Sheikh in Egypt on Thursday.

Hasina, who presided over the summit for some time on its closing day, will carry out her duty as vice chairman for the next three years.

Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak was elected new NAM chairman on Wednesday, replacing Cuban president Raul Castro.

As a prime minister of Bangladesh this is a great honour to the people of Bangladesh - Specially I proud of it. My request to our Prime Minister please utilized this opportunities for the developments of Bangladesh - and for the Asia Zone . Do something for the Nation as a daughter of Bangabandhu.
