Envoy in Rome presents credentials |

Agencies The newly appointed Bangladesh ambassador to Italy, Masud Bin Momen, on Friday presented his credentials to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano at the Quirinale Palace, a press statement said. "Ambassador Momen briefed the Italian President about the various initiatives taken by the caretaker government for holding a free and fair election by December 2008," said the statement issued by the Bangladesh mission in Rome. President Napolitano praised Bangladesh for maintaining religious harmony and termed the country "a role model as a moderate Muslim country", the statement said.
