The Awami League has asked the caretakers not to rush a new national health policy, reports bdnews24.com. "The elected government should rather do it," said Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, the party's health and population affairs spokesman. "The national policy formulated in 2000 is still in force. So there's no point in rushing to get a new one," he told a press conference. The AL leader threatened to campaign against attempts to enforce the new policy that he said was proposing civil servant-led management committees to run medical college hospitals.
