Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina had meetings on Tuesday with the World Bank top officials in Washington DC, an aide said.

"Sheikh Hasina, accompanied by her son Sajib Wazed Joy met with the World Bank South Asian Affairs vice president Isabella Guerrero and former incumbent Praful C Patel and other senior officials there," her press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said to bdnews24.com Wednesday.
 
Starting at 5 pm, the two-hour meeting dwelt on Bangladesh's economy, development programmes and future development plans at length, he said.
 
Hasina, facing a series of graft charges, is in the USA receiving medical treatment on parole.
