BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia sat with top leaders of the four-party alliance Tuesday afternoon to discuss the general elections and dialogue with the Election Commission.

Khaleda's lawyer advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas told bdnews24.com the talks began around 3.30pm, at the home of journalist Shafik Rehman.

Until Monday evening, the meeting was scheduled to be held in the party office at Naya Paltan. The venue was shifted in an overnight decision to the private Eskaton Garden Road residence.

The meeting was attended by the Jamaat-e-Islami chief Motiur Rahman Nizami, Khilafat-e-Majlish chairman Maulana Mohammad Ishaque, Bangladesh Jatiya Party chairman Andalib Rahman, BNP secretary general Khandakar Delwar Hossain, Islami Oikyo Jote secretary general Abdul Latif Nizami and Khilafat-e-Majlish secretary general Shamim Al Mamun.
