Bangladesh Rifles recorded a 34-26 win over Bangladesh Police in the inaugural match of the Devine Zone 2nd Office Handball League Thursday at the Handball ground adjacent to Bangabandhu National Stadium, reports agency.

Sudhan and Khairuzzaman scored nine and seven goals as BDR dominated the first half 18-10 against Police, whose Preeti netted 12 goals.

Bangladesh Olympic Association treasurer and Bangladesh Tennis Federation general secretary M Sanaul Haq declared the league open while league committee chairman Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan, Bangladesh Handball Federation assistant general secretary Hasan Ullah Khan Rana were among others present.

BDR take on Cute in the second match Friday.
