Poet Samudra Gupta died in hospital in India Saturday at the age of 62, his daughter said.

Gupta died at Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital around 8am, the poet's younger daughter Swapna Samudra told bdnews24.com.
 
The ailing poet was taken to India on July 3 for better medical treatment.
 
Swapna said the poet's wife and brother, who accompanied him to India, would bring the body back home.
