Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Prof Ole Danbolt Mjøs, and director of the Nobel Peace Centre, Bente Erichsen, arrived in Bangladesh Tuesday on a six-day visit at the invitation of Peace Prize laureate and Grameen Bank founder Muhammad Yunus.

The guests touched down at Zia International Airport in the morning, Grameen Bank official Bazlul Haque told bdnews24.com.

They were received by Muhammad Yunus, his wife Afroza Yunus and officials of Grameen Bank and the Norwegian embassy, Haque said.

During their visit Mjøs and Erichsen will meet with chief adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed and attend a grand reception organised by Grameen Bank at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.

They will also visit Grameen Bank Dhamrai office, to exchange views with the bank's clients, and other projects of the bank in and outside Dhaka.
