REUTERS, MUMBAI - Indian shares provisionally ended down 4.14 percent on Tuesday as investors dumped stocks on growing worries about high oil prices, inflation and political uncertainty.

The 30-share BSE index provisionally closed 557.51 points lower at 12,904.09.

The 50-issue NSE index provisionally fell 3.93 percent to 3,881.75.
