AP, LONDON -- The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday morning. Gold fell.

The euro traded at $1.5771, down from $1.5775 late Monday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

--105.37 Japanese yen, down from 106.26

--1.0178 Swiss francs, down from 1.0194

--1.0168 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0108

The British pound was quoted at $1.9974, up from $1.9930.

Gold traded in London at $929.50 per troy ounce, down from $932.75 late Monday.
