AP, LONDON -- The U.S. dollar was lower against other currencies in European trading Monday. Gold rose.

The euro traded at $1.5805, up from $1.5775 late Friday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

--105.22 Japanese yen, down from 106.26

--1.0151 Swiss francs, down from 1.0194

--1.0081 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0108

The British pound was quoted at $1.9952, up from $1.9930.

Gold traded in London at $932.75 per troy ounce, up from $923.00 late Friday.
