EPB seminar in Ctg Staff Reporter Today’s competitive world market calls among other things for export diversification as well as identifying priorities for export development for all the countries of the globe. Speakers made this observation at a seminar titled “ Market-wise Seminar(China, India, Malaysia& Russia) in Chittagong on Monday last. Export Promotion Bureau, Chittagong Regional Office organized the seminar under National Export Training Programme(NETP) 2007-2008 at the conference hall of BGMEA where First Vice Chairman of BGMEA MA Salam attended as Chief Guest. “ Export diversification is a demand of the time” he said adding both market access and product diversification are two crucially important tasks. Besides, time to time analysis of all exportable products of the developed and developing countries, tariff structure of each and every product, GSP and other facilities, every product on the basis of Bangladesh present export & further potentials and competitors’ competitive edge are equally vital he observed. Over seventy respresentatives from Govt-Non-Govt organizations and export –based industrial units, Banks and Insurance Companies participated in the seminar. Presided over by Md. Golam Mostafa , Director of EPB, Chittagong, the seminar was also addressed among others by Abdul Mannan Rana, Director BGMEA, Ctg, Sawkat Usman, Managing Director, M/S Presition Knitting Systems Ltd, Ctg and AMM Azhar, Director EPB, Dhaka. |
