Chelsea forward backs new boss to triumph at Stamford Bridge Sky Sports Salomon Kalou has hailed the decision to appoint Luiz Felipe Scolari as Chelsea manager, telling skysports.com that the Brazilian is the 'best' man for the role. Last week, Chelsea announced Portugal boss Scolari will take over at the helm as Avram Grant's successor on 1st July. And Kalou, who joined The Blues in 2006 from Feyenoord, is sure Scolari is the right man to bring success back to Stamford Bridge after the club finished the 2007/08 campaign empty-handed. "It is good for Chelsea to appoint a top manager," Kalou exclusively told skysports.com. "The players will learn a lot of thing with such a great manager in charge. "He has won the World Cup and managed Portugal to the final on Euro 2004. He has experience and has dealt with top Brazilian players - so he is the best there." Mourinho link-up Kalou went on to dispel any potential rumours over his future at Chelsea after former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who signed the Ivorian during his time in charge of The Blues, landed the manager's role at Internazionale. "Next season will be great. I am staying with Chelsea and I am still settling. I love the club," said the 22-year-old. "I have a contract with Chelsea. My ex boss (Mourinho) was great to me and I wish him luck, maybe we will worth together again one day." Olympics Kalou also confirmed his plans to represent Ivory Coast at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing - meaning he is likely to miss the start of the 2008/09 Premier League season. "I am looking forward to the Olympic Games. We will be in an exciting group with Argentina," Kalou concluded. |
