Lt Gen Masud sees foreign secretary |

Bdnews24.com Lieutenant General Masud Uddin Chowdhury, who was transferred to the foreign ministry from the National Defence College on June 8, met foreign secretary Md Touhid Hossain Tuesday. Masud is tipped to be appointed as an ambassador.
"We have received a government order on General Masud's transfer. He came to see me today," Touhid told bdnews24.com.
Earlier, foreign affairs adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury had told bdnews24.com that it might need some time for Masud to get an appointment as ambassador.
The government on June 2 transferred Masud to the NDC as its commandant from the Armed Forces Division.
In less than a week, the army officer, regarded as a key player in the 1/11 changeover was again transferred from the NDC to the foreign ministry on June 8.
