In the new budget, the finance adviser has kept scope for individual taxpayers to declare their undeclared legal income, reports agency.

According to the adviser's budget speech on Monday, the plan which was meant to "expand the revenue base" will run for four months from July 1.

The taxpayers will have to follow a prescribed format to pay a 7 percent tax rate in penalty in addition to regular taxes set for FY 2008-09.
