AP, LONDON -- The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning. Gold fell.

The euro traded at $1.5465, down from $1.5470 late Tuesday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

--104.77 Japanese yen, down from 105.26

--1.0394 Swiss francs, down from 1.0404

--1.0103 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0092

The British pound was quoted at $1.9555, down from $1.9658.

Gold traded in London at $877.25 per troy ounce, down from $881.00 late Tuesday.

Silver opened in London at $16.70, down from $16.88.
