Police retrieve dead boy from RAB camp |

Police retrieved the body of a nine-year-old boy from the RAB-10 camp in Lalbagh Thursday, reports bdnews24.com. Habibullah who used to work in a mess for the Rapid Action Battalion camp on Shaysta Khan Road, was found dead, the police said Friday.
Habibullah, son of Abdul Motaleb, came from Mahinda area of Kishoreganj district.
Captain Mostafa Humayun Kabir of RAB-10 told bdnews24.com that the RAB had informed Lalbagh police and the Criminal Investigation Department about the discovery of the dead body.
Police arrested 25-year-old Farid Mia, a cook for the mess, in this connection and interrogated him.
RAB would investigate the incident if the home ministry permitted, Captain Humayun said.
Sub-inspector Sarwar Alam, investigation officer of the case filed with Lalbagh Police Station, told bdnews24.com that police had retrieved the body at 6:30pm.
"Workers of the mess might have been involved in the killing," he said.
"There were allegations against Farid Mia who was produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court for Dhaka Friday. An appeal for the remand of the man in custody for seven days is pending," Sarwar said.
The report said that there were several burn marks on the forehead, lips, shoulders, hands and legs of the child.
