Authorities at Dhaka Central Jail have kept detained former ministers Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan and Motiur Rahman Nizami in the same jailroom, reports bdnews24.com.
Bhuiyan's wife visited her husband Tuesday while Nizami's wife visited her husband the previous day.
Two personal assistants of Bhuiyan, Md Nurul Amin Rikabader (Jahan) and Belayet Hossain, also visited the former BNP secretary general.
"[Bhuiyan] is doing fine, he is passing his time reading books and newspapers," Jahan said.
Bhuiyan and Nizami are staying in the same room on the first floor, he said, adding that food and a 14-inch colour television were taken for Bhuiyan from his Gulshan home.
The former BNP minister surrendered to the Metropolitan Special Judge's Court Sunday while the police arrested Jamaat-e-Islami chief Nizami at his residence the same day.
