The police surrounded the house of Motiur Rahman Nizami in Moghbazar late Sunday night in an apparent move to arrest the Jamaat-e-Islami chief.

Deputy police commissioner for Ramna zone Atiqul Islam leads the team, bdnews24.com's Liton Haider reports from the scene.

A team of police officers including Ramna OC ABM Daulat Akbar arrived at Nizami's home around 10pm.
