Agency Maritime ports of Chittagong and Cox's Bazar have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal 3, the weather office said in a bulletin Friday.
The well-marked low over the east central Bay and adjoining northeast Bay and Myanmar coast persists, according to the bulletin.
"It is likely to intensify further. Under its influence deep convections is taking place over the north Bay."
Squally weather is likely to continue and may affect the maritime ports of Chittagong and Cox's Bazar.
But Mongla port has been advised to drop local cautionary signal 3.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the north Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
