Rotary International president Wilfrid J Wilkinson will arrive in Bangladesh on Friday, an official statement said, reports bdnews24.com.

During his May 16-19 visit, Wilkinson will meet president Iajuddin Ahmed and chief adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed.

He is scheduled to visit a number of projects being implemented with assistance of Rotary International.

Wilkinson, a retired chartered accountant, served Rotary International as vice president, director and trustee of the Rotary Foundation and District Governor.

Rotary International is a voluntary organisation of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service and help to build goodwill and peace in the world.

In Bangladesh, there are close to 4,000 Rotarians belonging to over 155 Rotary clubs.
