Lawyers Khandaker Delwar Hossain, Sanaullah Miah and Masud Talukder were present on behalf of the accused.

Anticorruption Commission assistant director SM Sahidur Rahman submitted a chargesheet in the case on May 5 against 11 people, including Khaleda, her son Arafat Rahman Coco, former law minister Moudud Ahmed, former state minister for energy AKM Mosharraf Hossain, businessman Giasuddin Al Mamun and former Dhaka Club president Selim Bhuiyan.

The remaining three—Niko vice-president for South Asia Kashem Sharif, the former prime minister's principal secretary Dr Kamal Uddin Siddiqui and Petrobangla director CM Yousuf Hossain are on the run.
