Bangladesh Navy has test-fired a C-802 missile in the deep Bay of Bengal, the Inter-Service Public Relations Directorate said in a statement Monday, reports bdnews24.com. This marks the upgrading of Bangladesh's missile system with a Chinese technical team. The C-802 is a software-based third-generation missile capable of destroying any target within 120km, the ISPR statement said. The naval chief, vice-admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam, said the successful test-firing of the missile is a milestone in Bangladesh's naval history. |
