"Two organisations of Japan government JICA and Japan Bank for Cooperation (JBIC) will merge in October. From then they would assist Bangladesh," AB Mirza Azizul Islam said to reporters.
The adviser had a meeting with visiting vice-president of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Masafumi Kuroki at the planning ministry.
He said the JICA vice president spoke of assistance in three projects under the new loan package, including the Haripur Power Centre and the Centre Zone Power Distribution Project.

Kuroki said that they had been holding discussions with the government about the new loan package for the three projects and that the Bangladesh government have responded positively.
