Mohammedan Sporting Club and Sonali Bank shared points in the Premier Division Hockey League when they played a 2-2 draw in their fourth match at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium Friday.

Mariner Youngs Club blanked Wari Club 4-0 to taste their first win in three matches at the same venue.

With the first draw in four matches, Mohammedan SC and Sonali Bank have 10 points each, two points behind joint league leaders Abahani Limited and Usha Krira Chakra.

Mariner raised their points tally to four from one while Wari still remained winless in four matches.

Rimon Kumar put Sonali Bank ahead in the 10th minute while Iqbal Nader Prince doubled the margin in the 39th minute to go for a fine 2-0 lead against giants Mohammedan.

The runners-up of the Club Cup Hockey, Sonali Bank, failed to keep the momentum in the second half and the Motijheel-based outfit, Mohammedan, took control of the match.

Mohammedan reduced the margin in the 43rd minute with Abdus Sajjad John converting a penalty corner while Jahid Bin Talib equalised the margin in the 51st minute from a field goal.

In the other match, Ranjan Banik struck two goals while Prashanto Kumar and Razibul Hasan Isa netted one goal each for Mariner.
