Relatives Thursday met detained former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in special jail on the Jatiya Sangsad complex, a senior prisons official said, reports bdnews24.com. Major Shamsul Haider Siddiqui, deputy inspector general of prisons, told bdnews24.com that six relatives including two children had met Hasina. Hasina's cousins Shahida Shelly Jamal, Sultana Sheikh Rekha, Farida Sheikh, aunt Razia Khatun and Rekha's two children entered the jail at about 4.30pm, he said. They came out of the jail at 6pm but did not speak to the press. Joint forces arrested Hasina on July 16 last year at her Sudha Sadan home in Dhanmondi. |
