Police said the poisonous ammonia gas suddenly started emitting at Star Seafood Ltd at about 10:30am when the workers were processing shrimps. The sick workers were rushed to Khulna Sadar Hospital in unconscious state by their colleagues. Some of them were stated to be critical, hospital sources said. The factory authorities closed the factory soon after the incident. |
