The workers later struck work in protest against the attack by the ''outsiders''. They alleged that the local terrorists attacked them with patronage of factory officials Nasir Uddin and Shakib Hossain. Police arrested three persons-Ruhul Amin, Mohsin and Bozlu-in connection with the attack. The factory management sacked 19 workers, including Nasir and Shakib, for creating the anarchy.
