The Anti-Corruption Com-mission is going to submit charge sheet in the case against detained Awami League joint general secretary Obaidul Kader and his wife for acquiring illegal wealth and hiding information, reports UNB.

ACC sources said the Commission approved the submission of charge sheet in the case against former State Minister for Youth and Sports Kader and his wife Ishratunnessa for amassing wealth worth about Tk 75 lakh beyond his known sources of income and concealing information of assets worth about Tk 25 lakh.

Sources said ACC assistant director SM Sahidur Rahman, the investigation officer, would submit the charge sheet either today or tomorrow (Thursday).

The charge sheet will be submitted under sections 26(2) and 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004, section 109 of the Penal Code and section 15 of the Emergency Power Rules, 2007.

Earlier on October 30, 2007, ACC assistant director Ashraful Islam filed the case with Ramna police station against the couple in this regard.
