The 4-day Ikebana Workshop and Exhibition organized jointly by Bangladesh Ikebana Society and Nippon Academy in collaboration with Chittagong City Corporation and Japan Embassy ended yesterday Sunday at Theater Institute Chittagong, says a press release. Acting CCC Mayor Alhaj M Monzur Alam attended the function as Chief Guest while Mr. Yonezo Fukuda, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan in Dhaka was present as Special Guest on the occasion. Honorary Consul General of Japan in Chittagong and President of Bangladesh Ikebana Society Mohammed Nurul Islam president over the function. “ Ikebana Culture is necessary to beautifully present the beauty of nature” said the Chief Guest as he also stressed the importance of Ikebana Training at other schools of the city. He called on entrepreneurs to play role in this culture. The Mayor lauded this culture in developing relationship between Bangladesh and Japan. Fukuda praised the Bangladeshi artistes for their creativity in Ikebana culture and thanked the acting mayor with gratefulness for allowing to organize the workshop. CEO of CCC AKM Khairul Alam, Chief Revenue Officer Mohiuddin Ahmed Khan and Managing Partner of SN Travels Md. Salahuddin Khan , participants Mafia Akhter and Susmita Dey also spoke on the occasion. |
