Information Secretary Jamil Osman Wednesday asked all concerned to be active for making the training programmes more effective and job-oriented, reports agency. It is important for the officials to apply their knowledge and skill, which they gathered from different training programmes, in their service, he said. The secretary was addressing as chief the concluding session of a skill-development training programme for Public Relations Officers (PROs) at the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) here, an official handout said. He said the officials should demonstrate their professionalism while pursuing the government’s policy and carrying out development activities. Jamil also underlined the need for boosting the skill of English language and information technology to perform professional duties properly. Principal Information officer Iftekhar Hossain spoke as the special guest while director general of PIB Mohammad Nazrul Islam chaired the function. Later, the secretary distributed certificates among the trainees and exchanged views on different issues of the training modules. A total of 31 officials of PID, Mass Communications, Department of Films and Publications took part in the training programme. |
