PSC conducts survey on quota system in civil service PDF Print E-mail

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has carried out a detailed survey with the support of the World Bank on ‘quota system in the Bangladesh Civil Service’, reports agency.

Besides the PSC, copies of the report are available at Public Library, Dhaka University Library and National Press Club Library. The report is also available on www.bpsc.gov.bd, according to an official handout.

Chairman of the Regulatory Reforms Commission and former adviser of the caretaker government Dr Akbar Ali Khan and former secretary of the government Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed conducted the survey.

The PSC with the support of the World Bank organised a seminar in Dhaka on March 29 last.

Similar seminars will be held in Chittagong, Khulna and Rajshahi to gather opinions and suggestions to finalise recommendations, which will be submitted to the government to reform the quota system.

I think that the quota system is totaly changed for the improvement of govt. adminstration.This system is only for tribal people (5%) & freedom fighters
( 5%) because district quota & woman quota is not appropriate in this time.Basically BCS exam. is free from quota system.
