Chairman of Chittagong Development Auhtority(CDA) Engineer Shah Mohammed Akhteruddin yesterday launched the ground breaking work of a 15-storied building at city’s Ice Factory road, says a press release.

He also offered prayer after laying the foundation of the multi-storied building.

Alhaj MA Taher, chairman of Taher Group chaired the function on the launching ceremony where Commissioner Iqbal Hafiz Yubraj, Mohammed Sekandar, owner of the building Alhaj M A Hashem and GM Nipur Chowdhury of Taher Group also spoke.

The CDA Chief expressed his firm determination to turn the port city into the commercial capital of the country.

He said, though there are financial constraints , CDA will work to modify Chittagong in the shape of a commercial capital.
