Ikebana Workshop begins in Ctg PDF Print E-mail

A 4-day workshop, a joint effort of Chittagong City Corporation and Japan Embassy kicked off at city’s Postar Par Asma Khatun City Corporation High School & College yesterday, says a press release.

Bangladesh Ikebana Society and Nippon Academy organized the workshop sponsored by SA Group and SN Travels Acting CCC mayor Alhaj M Monzur Alam, inaugurated as chief guest the function which was participated by about forty students from among different schools under Chittaogng City Corporation.

“ Ikebana education and culture will help develop a healthy tie between nature and human being” said the mayor in his speech as he also stressed the relation between the two.

While advising the students to concentrate on their regular studies, the mayor asked them to grow flower plants at the college premises and to take care of them.

Honorary consul of Japan in Ctg and president of Bangladesh Ikebana Society Mohammed Nurul Islam, Coordinator of the workshop, Commissioner Niaj Mohammed Khan, Managing Partner of SN Travel Md. Salahuddin Khan, Artiste Maleka Khan and principal of the college Ajoy Kishore Hore were also present on the occasion.
