The Touching Souls, USA, in association with the Water Reporters’ Forum, Bangladesh, has offered four fellowships on water journalism for 2007-’08, reports agency.

Journalists who work on water problems and issues are eligible for the fellowships. Of which, two will be for Bangla journalists and two others for English journalists.

Interested journalists have been requested to apply with complete CVs, copies of clippings or discs by April 20 next to the fellowship committee, C/O.

Winners of the fellowships will work on

1) Trans-boundary water issues: Farakka Barrage and the proposed Tipaimukh Dam, and

2) Availability of safe-drinking water in urban and rural areas.

Selected candidates will be given pocket money to visit sites to dig out stories on selected issues.

They will get fellowship amount of Taka 10,000 each upon publication or airing of stories.
