Information Secretary Jamil Osman said Monday that in the era of globalization all have to work in a concerted way to solve the common health problems, reports agency.

He was addressing a discussion organized by the Department of Mass Communication on the occasion of World Health Day-2008.

With Director General of the department M Abdul Mannan in the chair, the function was attended by Joint Secretary of the Information Ministry Kamal Uddin Ahmed as the special guest.

Jamil Osman laid importance on taking a coordinated publicity programme involving all ministries and departments with all attached to public health activities.

Terming this year’s theme of the World Health Day “Protecting Health from Climate Change” as very time befitting, the Information Secretary said human health is being affected directly and indirectly across the world due to the changing trend of climate.
