A two-day conference on Bangladesh’s devastating cyclone Sidr has been kicked off at the Oxford University in UK under the auspices of the Oxford International Biomedicine Conference (OIBC) and the British Royal Institute, a message received in the city on Friday said, reports agency.

Bangladeshi environmental activist and biotechnologist Dr Ferdousi Begum has joined the two-day conference to give a presentation on the effect of the Sidr that ravaged Bangladesh’s southwestern coastlines on November 2007.
