The caretaker government is likely to open dialogue with the political parties this month, evidently in their bid to make a breakthrough in the standoff that started following the purge against the ruling politicians of the yesteryear, reports UNB. "The government is preparing for dialogue with political parties. What kind of discussion, type of format and who are to participate in the dialogue-these are all being discussed by the government. I think the dialogue will start within this month," Chief Adviser''s Press Secretary Syed Fahim Munaim said Wednesday. He further said the matter as to whether dialogue will be held all together or separately with each political party is also being considered. The Press Secretary was briefing newsmen about the outcome of the council-of-advisers'' meeting held in the conference room of the cabinet division at Bangladesh Secretariat Wednesday afternoon. Replying to a question, Munaim said the Chief Adviser would decide who is to lead the dialogue from government side. The news briefing was held in the conference room of PID. |
